"I mostly start by finding out my associations with to me known objects, people and spaces and try to include contexts relatable to more people."
The topics isolation and oversaturation through media are the core of Hitesh's body of work. He interprets technical progress and devices as a force to provide information, but also as the main factor leading to the alienation of people from experiences in the outside world with connections and experiences between individuals. This perspective is strongly related to his own anxieties about the engagement in the digital world. Until now he has not fixed his preferred medium and a particular style, as he is fond of exploring possibilities and potentials coming with experimentation. Anyhow the position of the observer and interaction with the person in front of a piece with more dimensions and space for interpretation is always included in his creative thought process.
About the piece:
"I have taken the window as an architectural element, which sets the border between open spaces I want to be in and the space I am entangled in. A house is a container for mental and social ecologies and the perimeter of it divides the external and contained environment. The house is permeable through a few points like windows and doors. Windows allow visual dialogue with the outside. A window can also be interpreted as screens of digital media like television, computers, and smartphones. The virtual screen dominates the mind with visuals while lacking personal experience. This experience fakes hope and possibilities of physical presence in an open world and human contact. The separation of the environment is visible, but just with the observation of the object itself. The inner side remains untouched while the essences of the dynamic environment are captured in these "windows"."
